Dear Alumni,
I am Calvin Williams, candidate for the Office of President for Grambling University National Alumni Association, Incorporated (GUNAA). Today, I am sending this letter to re-introduce myself to you and ask for your vote of support. Before I discuss my platform, allow me to share a few things about myself. RECENT SUCCESS AS
NATIONAL VICE PRESIDENT
As the current Vice President, I along with our program committee chairs and members have worked diligently to make an impact upon GUNAA and GSU. Through our collective efforts we achieved the following:

Developed engagement practices with created 22% growth in membership

Raised over $50,000.00

Created a $30,000.00 non-endowed student scholarship

Developed a new membership database
-
Re-invigorated the alumni awards recognition program
-
Supported the GSU athletic refuel stations

Mentored students through the Grambling Legacy Association
-
Assisted in fiscal responsibility which has bolstered the operating account
-
Re-introduced a viable Young Alumni Council in which has yielded 55% in new graduate members

Developed the 2021-22 GUNAA Strategic Plan

Re-developed the Chapter Charter Program
-
Developed Revitalization Projects for the Alumni Center
-
Created the GUNAA 1901 Club in which yielded $14,000 for scholarships, operational enhancements, and GSU Athletic Refuel Station

On yesterday, I received official notification that I qualified to run for the Office of President for Grambling University National Alumni Association (GUNAA). I am forever committed to the advancement of GSU and I find it to be a great time to lend my skills and abilities to GUNAA at this level of leadership.
